Attention: Bill Monahan, City Manager
Summerfield Civic Association would like to place signs at six of our entrances. These
signs would announce to drivers that they are entering Summerfield and request that they
drive slowly. Also, "No Soliciting" would appear at the bottom of the new sign and on
two of our existing signs.
As you know, Summerfield prides itself in its appearance, and any sign that is to be
posted will be in keeping with the aesthetics of the community. The signs will be made
of wood and professionally done. They will be 4 ft. x 2 ft. and stand3 ft. from the
ground and will look like the enclosed photo.
Because these signs need to be placed on the green strip between the curb and sidewalks,
it is my understanding that we need to ask for a variance.
Pictures and a map with the anticipated location of the signs are enclosed.
