Both sign permits have been"approved"but can not be issued as the Construction Contractor's Board (CCB) has indicated your license expired on February 9, 1997. I telephoned the CCB this morning and spoke with Tina. While most CCB operators can only indicate a license has expired, Tina has the ability to determine whether all materials have been submitted for renewal. Tina indicated to me that Heath has yet to submit the required bond elements. If you have any questions concerning Tina's comments, please contact her directly at the CCB. Tina is available at 503-378-4621 Ext. 4047. The sign permits can be issued as soon as we receive confirmation from the CCB that your license is current. Please contact me when this happens so I can issue the permits. Sincerely, James S. Duckett Development Services Technician 639-4171 Ext. 349 13125 SW Hall Blvd., Tigard, OR 97223 (503) 639-4171 TDD (503) 684-2772 February 5, 1997 jA Dan Osterman EA Heath Signs Tel: 232-2620 Sent via Fax to: 233-9976 Re: Park 217 Signs Dear Dan, I am in receipt of your pre-application material concerning the freestanding signs located at the intersections of Hall and Garden P1 as well as Garden P1 and Pacific Hwy. After reviewing the Sign Code Exceptions (SCEs) and discussing this matter with Dick Bewersdorff, I would like to offer the following for your consideration: 1. Per SCE9-86, the Planning Commission granted permission for a 82 square feet (per side) and 13 feet in height sign to be located at the intersection of 99W and Garden Pl. 2. Per SCE9-86, the Planning Commission granted permission for a 61.75 square feet (per side) and 13 feet in height sign to be located at the intersection of Hall Blvd and Garden Pl. 3. Any alteration to either sign would necessitate compliance with current visual clearance area requirements. 4. No additional SCE approval would be required as long as the new sign did not violate the square footage or height of the previously permitted dimensions. 5. The method of measuring a free standing sign is described in Tigard Municipal Code 18.114.085.A. I hope this answers your concerns. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me. I'm scheduled to work the counter until 1PM,then lunch, and then back-up counter duty this afternoon. Sincerely, James S. Duckett Development Services Technician 639-4171 Ext. 349 13125 SW Hall Blvd., Tigard, OR 97223 (503) 639-4171 TDD (503) 684-2772 - / . • ... - .... .. .
