Keyed Note 7 on page M2.04 calls out an elevator vent at the elevator shaft location. To ensure this vent is clear of all elevator system components, it is necessary to move the vent to the top of the elevator shaft, install it in the south wall just east (left in picture below) of the hoist beam (see picture below — taken facing south). If this location is acceptable, please provide framing details for the 26" x 36" vent which will interfere with the stud located between the hoist beam post & east wall. 1 it:-.:::‘: — ) 4 ' i f 4 t y r µ ! ;k t. --, r d 1' i r \, ' 't _ , ,,, 4, 'cl - ff . ;I ' L ______________ .• t Response: Proposed location is acceptable, see structural response. Per RFI #42, all unit balcony doors (type B) are to be revised to 3' -0" x 6' -8" (48 units total). The 6' -8" door will need a rough opening height of 82 ", ASI #1 shows a height to the bottom of the transom window of 84 1 /z" (Sheet A9.10). This leaves a space of approximately 2 1 /2" between the top of balcony door type B and the bottom of the transom window. Per 2/A4.01, there is to be a 2x8 triple header between the top of door type B and transom window which will not fit in the space provided. This 2 W space may also be difficult to trim and properly flash, please provide direction. Response: 2x8 triple header is not required, I understand the actual rough opening will allow 3 1/8" between door and transom - Provide (2) 2x8s along entire transom sill as noted in 10/S4.1. Flashing & trim will be similar to detail 5/A8.20 ❑ Attachments Response From: Ben White To: Clyde Zahn / Scott Dekker / Chris Cudahy Date Rec'd: 07.06.10 Date Ret'd: 07.06.10 Signed by: Date: 07.06.10
