FOUNDATION EXCAVATION REVIEW
LOT 6 — LEISER PARK

GeoPacific Engineering Inc. visited the site on December 3, 2004 to review the house foundation
excavation subgrade. We understand that the proposed residence is a two -story single - family home
with a daylight basement. The excavation generally exposed medium stiff to stiff native silt. The
observed subgrade is considered adequate for spread foundation support to a maximum allowable
bearing pressure of more than 1,500 psf.
Subgrade that becomes soft due to rain should be mucked out from beneath footings just prior to pour.
No deck footing, patio, or other appurtenant structure subgrades were observed. Foundation
conclusions and recommendations in the final soil engineer's report are still considered applicable.
Our work scope pertains to a geotechnical engineer's foundation excavation review only and the
conditions existing and exposed at the time of our site visit. No warranty is herein expressed or
