The City of Tigard Building Division has reviewed the submitted building plans for the above
referenced address in accordance with the Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC), 1998
edition and the Uniform Fire Code, 1997 edition as amended by Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.
The following items need to be addressed and are not in compliance with the above mentioned
Codes:
1) The Accessible walk from the parking stall to the building and the remote restroom
shall be in compliance with OSSC sections 1103.2.4 (walk and slope), 1103.2.4.4
(passing space), and 1103.2.4.7 (separation from vehicular path)
2) Separate permits are required for the office /warehouse and the restroom addition due
to the work being performed on two separate structures and possible different
addresses. Please separate the plans.. a,ppfra.1 -*T s
3) Provide heat in the restroom to protect plumbing from freezing.
4) Re- submit (4) sets of each project for final review and approval.
Due to the items identified as noted above the plan review has been terminated until the items
have been properly addressed. In no way should this partial review be considered as a complete
review.

Dear Mr. Jones:
The following numbered responses correspond to you letter dated June 13, 2002:
1. Our original intent was to use the accessible rout.exception at 1103.1. After
further review, we have incorporated a ramp at the south edge of the project -
area.
2. We have separated into 2 submittals, the original BUP submittal will only
incorporate information regarding the structural upgrade to the existing structure .
and associated walkways and the ramp for accessibility access to the remote
restroom. The restroom has been submitted under a new application.
3. This information has been incorporated into the present submittal for the •
restroom.
4. Done.
