Dear Brian:
We have had recent discussions with you and other members of the building department
regarding the above referenced building and the ability to permit minor tenant
improvement alterations based on current building codes. This building was constructed
in 1973, and at that time was not required to be equipped with fire sprinklers based on
square footage and occupancy.
We understand that as times have changed, so have the building code requirements, as
well has the desire for commercial buildings to be equipped with fire sprinklers.
Our intention is to retrofit this building with sprinklers within the next 3 -5 years. We are
currently seeking proposals from two local contractors.
