This connection must be to a dedicated branch circuit and mechanically protected. All means of disconnecting the circuit must be clearly marked °FIRE ALARM CIRCUIT CONTROL° and accessible only to authorized personnel. Fusing of this circuit must comply with local codes for over current protection, and/or Article 760 -- °FIRE PROTECTIVE SIGNALING SYSTEMS" of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70. The SNAC is jumper - selectable for operation from either 120 VAC or 240 VAC input. Cut Jumper W101 for 240 VAC operation. CAUTION: Failure to cut Jumper W101 for 240 VAC operation will damage the unit. 3.2 Earth Ground • The SNAG panel must be connected to an earth ground per Article 760 of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70. A green wire lead is provided for this purpose. • CAUTION: Failure to make a proper earth ground connection to a metallic cold water pipe or driven - ground ' rod to the green °GND" wire will result in the loss of.frghtning protection and reduce the tolerance of the system to transients. 3.3 Battery Standby The SNAC can maintain two (2) 12 volt sealed lead -acid batteries of up to 7 ampere -hour capacity connected in series. The batteries may be _installed in the space at the bottom of the cabinet. Insert Jumper W9 to enable the charger.
