Schiewe & Associates, Inc. (CSA)„ Paul Gram, Pacific Northwest Properties Hank Barleen, MKE Jack Kriz, Mildren Design Group, P.C.(MDG) Project Name: 72nd Avenue Office Building Project Number: 99095 Subject: Location of Fire Alarm Annunciation Panel and Area of Rescue Assistance Panels. It has been brought to my attention that Tualatin Fire and Rescue is requesting the relocation of the above mentioned panels although they were built per approved set of plans. I contacted Eric McMullen, TVFR who informed me that he had contacted Bob Poskin, City of Tigard to follow up for this issue. He indicated to me that "new construction" is under the jurisdiction of the City and that they, TVFR, only reviews plans for Knox box and key locations, fire sprinklers and water. He indicated that if plans were approved by the City with the current location as shown it would be the City's decision and he had no power to over ride. I passed this information to Hank Barleen, Electrical Engineer, MKE. He contacted Bob Poskin. Hank Barleen indicated to me that Bob Poskin had told him that this location conflict was not his jurisdiction. As you know we are quickly approaching the date where the tenant is expecting to move in to the building. Time is of essence for a decision to be made. And, moving these panels at this stage are expensive. It is in our opinion that these panels should be left where they are as indicated on the approved set of plans to expedite the completion of the building for occupancy. Please call me to discuss options. Thank you. Signed: Jack Kriz P: \99099\ WP \ memo.4.wpd
