The owner has notified us that he /she will retain your services to perform Special
Inspections in accordance with the provisions of the State Building Code, permit
documents and special inspection requirements.
The owner or the owner's agent must also confirm with you that they have
authorized you to do the special inspection work.
As the regulatory agency, the City requires that you do the following:
1. Submit copies of all inspection reports promptly to the building division,
Architect, engineer, and the contractor.
2. Maintain one copy of each field report at the job site.
3. Submit a final report at the completion of each category of work that you
Inspect. (See UBC Appendix Chapter 13 for soils special inspection final
report requirements.)
If you fail to comply with the above requirements, there may be cause for the City to
revoke your authority as special inspector for this job.

Your plans for the proposed construction have been reviewed for compliance; the following
items require your attention.
Title Page: The title page shows an allowable area (footprint) of 12000 s.f., please correct to
show VN at 8000 s.f.
Fire Life Safety:
1. The floor plans on drawing A2.1.1 shall mirror those shown on drawing A2.4.1.
2. The door schedule shall be shown on drawing A5.3.
3. You have submitted the proposed construction as VN construction, therefore, regardless
of the actual construction material used in this proposal, draft stops will be required.
OSSC, Section 708.1.2. Provide details.
Energy Code: Provide Oregon Non- Residential energy code forms 5a through 5c.
Special Inspections: Provide the information highlighted on the enclosed forms and return same
to this writer.
Deferred Submittals: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Suppression permits, will
require separate applications and plans.
Provide (3) three complete sets of revised architectural and structural drawings.
