FIELD OBSERVATION REPORT
PROJECT: Delta Fire
ADDRESS: 14795 SW 72 Tigard

PURPOSE OF VISIT: Construction Monitoring
Arrived on site at 1000, per the request of Don of Anderson Construction. Met with the earthwork contractor on
site. While on site, I observed the condition of the subgrade for the proposed retaining wall. The subgrade
consisted of stiff to hard native silt. I probed the subgrade using a one -half inch steel rod, and was unable to
penetrate the subgrade more than about 1 /2 inch in any location.
Based on the results of my observations, the retaining wall subgrade has been prepared in accordance with the
plans, specifications and our recommendations.

Carlson Geotechnical has served as geotechnical engineer of record for the retaining wall at the
Delta Fire site in Tigard, Oregon. As geotechnical engineer of record, Carlson performed
footing subgrade observations, and observation and testing of backfill compaction during
construction. Based on the results of our observations, all earthwork was completed in general
accordance with the plans, specifications, and our recommendations. We provided field reports
to the design and construction team, as well as to the City of Tigard during construction.
Additional copies of our reports are available in our office, if needed.
