This review was performed under the provisions of the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code, 1998 edition (OSSC), Oregon Mechanical Specialty Code, 1999 edition (OMSC) and the Uniform Fire Code (UFC). 1. The medical gas room shall be separated from the rest of the building by not less than one -hour fire - resistive construction. Doors to the medical gas enclosure shall be self - closing smoke - and - draft - control assemblies having a fire protection rating of not less then one -hour. OSSC Section 410 2. Penetration through the gas room walls shall be firestopped in accordance with OSSC Section 710.2 though 710.3 3. Exits and the path of egress travel shall be identified and illuminated in accordance with OSSC Section 1003.2.8 4. Doors shall be openable from the inside with the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort. OSSC Section 1003.3.1.8 5. Door opening force shall not exceed 81 pounds for exterior doors and 5 pounds for interior doors. OSSC Section 1109.9.9 6. A portion of the payment counter shall provide for a 36 inch long area not more than 36 inches above the finished floor. OSSC Section 1109.23.2 7. Restroom floors shall have a smooth, hard nonabsorbent surface such as portland cement, concrete, ceramic tile or other approved material that extends upward onto the walls at least 5 inches. Walls within 2 feet of the front and sides of urinals and water closets shall have a smooth, hard nonabsorbent surface such as portland cement, concrete, ceramic tile or other smooth, hard nonabsorbent surface to a height of 4 feet. OSSC Section 807.1.2 9. A copy of the approved plans shall be on the job site and made available to the city inspectors for inspection purposes. 10. Prior to utilizing the structure for its intended use, a final inspection and certificate of occupancy is required.
