The City is concerned with the paid employees who do not reside at your home and the storage of materials associated with your business. I am approving your application with conditions which are listed on the attached "Notice of Decision ". Please take special care to note provisions #1, #3, #6 and #10. Approval for a home occupation permit is limited to a one -year period. Renewal is required yearly. Please be advised that additional complaints from your neighbors could cause the invalidation of your permit or could lead to a denial of a renewal request. Should you decide to build additional storage structures or add on to your existing garage, you will need to schedule a pre - application conference with the Planning Division to insure that all City Code requirements will be satisfied. In the case of an addition to your garage, I am fairly sure that a variance to the maximum square footage of 500 sq. ft. for accessory structures will need to be submitted and approved prior to any construction activity.
