This letter provides CeoDesign, Ines summary comments on the geotechnical construction
observation services completed for Building 3 at the Tigard Triangle Commons project in Tigard,
Oregon. We previously performed a geotechnical evaluation of the site Our study was
performed in two phases, with the results provided in our September Z8, Z001' and July 19,
2005 reports.
GeoDesign observed the mass grading operations, which included site cuts and fills_ We
observed all foundation subgrades prior to concrete placement Crushed rock material for utility
trench and retaining wall back were evaluated by completing in -place density testing.
Members of our geotechnical staff observed geotechnical- related tasks identified above on a part-
- time and on -call basis: The results of our site visits were summarized in daily field reports, which
have been provided to the design /construction team members. Areas where test results
Indicated inadequate relative compaction were reworked and re- compacted until the specified
compaction was achieved. Within the limits of work observed and reported during the requested
site visits, the above - referenced tasks were completed in general accordance with the plans and
specifications and the geotechnical recommendations.
