We previously completed a geotechnical evaluation of the site. Our study was performed in two phases, with the results provided in our September 28, 2001' and July 19, 2005 reports. GeoDesign observed the mass grading operations, which included site cuts and fills and retaining wall (building stem walls) construction. We observed all foundation and floor slab subgrades prior to concrete placement. Crushed rock material for floor slab support, utility trench and • retaining wall backfill were evaluated by completing in -place density testing. ACS Testing, Inc. performed an evaluation of the parking lot subgrade and aggregate base rock by proofrolling • with a loaded dump truck. They also evaluated asphalt compaction for the parking lot. Based on field reports provided to our office, the subgrade, aggregate base rock and asphalt compaction for the parking lot were prepared in accordance with project specifications. Members of our geotechnical staff observed geotechnical - related tasks identified above on a part- time and on -call basis. The results of our site visits were summarized in daily field reports, which have been provided to the design and construction team members. Areas where test results indicated inadequate relative compaction were reworked and re- compacted until the specified ' Geotechnlcal Engineering Services, Bradford Office Building, Tigard, Oregon, dated September 28.2001, GeoDesign Project PNWP -30-01 z Report of Geotechnicol Engineering Services, Tigard Triangle Commons, Tigard, Oregon, dated July 19, 2005, GeoDesign • Project PNWP -30.02 ; From: 09/07/2007 15:44 #010 P.007/011 U /UD /LUUI UV:40 PHA lnuunallalV lc,! uua compaction was achieved.
