The structural review was reviewed and approved by Miller Consulting Engineers, August 16, 2006. (review doc. attached). 2. All discrepancies shall be brought to the immediate attention of the general contractor for correction. The special inspector shall submit a final signed report stating whetlierthe work requiring special inspection was, to the best of the inspector's knowledge; in conformance with the approved plans and specifications and the applicable workmanship provisions of the code. 1701, 1704, 1705, 1707, 1708 OSSC 3. Structural Observations is required per section 1709 Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC). The ownershall employ a registered design professional to perform structural observations as defined in Section 1702, OSSC. Structural observations is required for concrete foundation, retaining walls, reinforcing steel in shear walls and P/T slab, before concrete placement at second floor, placement of floor joist and before stressing P/T slab (as items listed on Miller Consulting Engineers approved review letter). Deficiencies shall be reported in writing to the owner and to the City of Tigard, Building Division, attention Hap Watkins. Live Loads Posted: The live loads for which each floor has been designed to exceed 50 psf shall be conspicuously posted by the owner in that part of each story in which they apply, using durable metal signs, and it shall be unlawful to remove or deface such notices. The occupant of the building shall be responsible for keeping the actual load below the allowable limits. 1603.3 OSSC FIRE LIFE AND SAFETY / GENERAL ti 5. Access to exits shall be marked by readily visible exit signs in cases where the exit or the path of egress travel is not immediately visible to the occupants. Extinguishers shall be located in conspicuous loons where they will be readily accessible and immediately available for use. These locations shall be along normal paths of travel, unless the fire code official determines that the hazard posed i dicates the need for placement away from normal paths of travel. Sec. 906 OFC 9. Fire extinguishers shall not be obstructed or obscured from view. (OAR 918 -050 -0150) Documents for deferred submittal items shall be subinitted to the registered design professional in responsible charge who shall review them and fowaid them�to the building official with a notation indicating that the deferred submittal documents have been reviewed and been found to be in general conformance to the design of the building: The deferred submittal items shall not be installed until the design and submittal documents have been approved by the building official.
