RE: Interpretation of CDC Section 18.96.060 A.

Section 18.96.060 A. of the Community Development Code states:
Boats, trailers, campers, camper bodies, house trailers,
recreation vehicles, or commercial vehicles in excess of
3/4 ton capacity shall not be stored in a required front
yard in a residential zone.
/41-/The question has been asked if the 3/4 ton capacity limit applies
to all of the items listed or only commercial vehicles. I find
that this size reference only applies to commercial vehicles for
the following reasons:
;. -The 3/4 ton capacity phrase immediately follows and
V � relates directly to the reference of commercial vehicles.
2. � the size of commercial vehicles or trucks is
rp,� described in this way (eg.3 /4 ton or 1 ton) and this
%�,� terminology never, to my knowledge, applies to the

INTERPRETATION: The question has been asked if the 3/4 ton capacity limit applies to all of the items listed
(boats, trailers, campers, camper bodies, house trailers, recreation vehicles, or
commercial vehicles shall not be stored in a required front yard in a residential zone) or
only commercial vehicles.

2. Only the size of commercial vehicles or trucks is described in this way (e.g. 3/4 ton or 1
ton) and this terminology never, to my knowledge, applies to the description of a boat,
house trailer, etc.
