Craig: here are my only comments from the last set submitted Aug 11. Todd has no other comments. • Each bicycle space must be 2.5' x 6'. It appears that two spaces will not fit in the current proposed location without affecting parking. Please show dimensions on the spaces to ensure the area will accommodate both spaces. The area may have to be moved just around the corner of the house if the two spaces will not adequately fit within the area. • I did not receive the letter from the Landscape Architect for portion B of condition #3. • The visual clearance areas are not shown on the plans, please show them on plan C1.0. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm including our Permit Coordinator, Albert Shields, and Dan Nelson, Plans Examiner, so we are all on the same page. I wanted to point out that we added the detectable warning at the back of the loading area and at the bottom of the ramp. The cross walk is concrete so do we need to add striping on that? She showed me some rough layout drawings that showed the accessible space by the street and two compact spaces between it and the building. She was going to ask for revised dimensioned drawings showing the proposed design. The code requires the one van accessible space to be 9'wide with an 8' access aisle on the passenger side. I would not have a problem with 2 the one compact space closest to the building crossing over the access to the ramp as long it doesn't block access when the vehicle is fully in the space. I would want the cross hatched striping identifying the accessible route to extend from the van space access aisle to the accessible ramp. Any places where the accessible route from the accessible space crosses lanes of vehicular travel , detectable warnings would be required at each entrance to the crossing of the vehicular lanes.
