A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE URBAN FORESTRY MASTER PLAN CITIZEN
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, on June 3,2008,Tigard City Council voted to approve Comprehensive Plan Amendment
2008- 00002,adding an Urban Forest section to the Land Use chapter of Tigard's Comprehensive Plan;and
WHEREAS, Comprehensive Plan Goal 2.2,Policy 11 of the Urban Forest section states, "The City shall
develop and implement a citywide Urban Forestry Master Plan";and
WHEREAS,it is the City's objective to implement its Comprehensive Plan and,furthermore,an Urban
Forestry Master Plan is an opportunity to resolve several matters pertaining to urban forest management
and tree protection in Tigard;and
WHEREAS,it is also the City's policy to establish special City advisory boards and committees to provide
input to the City Council,Planning Commission, and City staff;and
WHEREAS, Council Resolution 08-47 amended the process to form and appoint members to limited
duration Citizen Advisory Committees and development of the Urban Forestry Master Plan requires the
input of Tigard's citizens and potentially affected businesses;and
WHEREAS,Resolution 08-59 establishes a limited duration citizen advisory committee to guide the
preparation of the Urban Forestry Master Plan and determines the membership of said committee.
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The membership of the Urban ForestryMaster Plan Citizen Advisory Committee shall
consist of those individuals listed on Exhibit A
SECTION 2: Unless determined otherwise by Council,the Urban Forestry Master Plan Citizen Advisory
Committee shall sunset at the completion of their task which shall be immediately following
final presentation of the Urban Forestry Master Plan report to the City Council.
SECTION 3: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
