RESOLUTION NO. 24-01
A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 16-48 RELATED TO THE MARLAND
HENDERSON COMMUNITY GRANT
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council adopted Resolution No. 16-48 establishing the Marland Henderson
Community Grant program;and
WHEREAS, the program is funded by an amount equal to 20 percent of the revenue generated from the
City's marijuana tax, to be awarded to a non-profit organization or organizations to address the mental
health, drug and alcohol addiction, and housing needs of people in Tigard;and
WHEREAS, City Council provided direction to repeal the Marland Henderson Community Grant program
and instead allocate the funds to the City's Social Services Grant Program.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: Resolution No. 16-48 is repealed.
SECTION 2: The 20 percent of revenue generated from the City's marijuana tax,continue to be awarded to
non-profit organizations as part of the City's Social Services Grant program, beginning with
the FY2025 budget.
SECTION 3: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
