RIVER TERRACE FIELD TRIP
DATE: August 15, 2022 – 6:30 p.m., Potential Quorum
STARTING LOCATION: Sabrina Park Shelter
17400 SW Sabrina Ave.
Project Planner Gary Pagenstecher will lead the Planning Commission on a “Drive, Walk and Talk” field trip
of completed and upcoming River Terrace projects, including River Terrace West, future site of the River
Terrace Town Center Community Park, Roshak Ridge, and The Crossing. No deliberations will take place.
• 6:30 PM – MEET AT SABRINA PARK SHELTER FOR ORIENTATION, PARK AND
STORMWATER OPEN SPACE WALK.
o Gary will distribute maps and the tour will begin. (Transportation is not provided due to Covid
restrictions in City vehicles. You may carpool with each other if you’re comfortable doing that – or
take your own vehicle if you prefer.)
• 7:00 PM - DEPART FOR FUTURE SITE OF R.T. TOWN CENTER COMMUNITY PARK
o SW Appledale Rd and River Terrace Blvd. (Park along Appledale Rd)
• 7:30 PM – DEPART FOR ROSHAK RIDGE OVERLOOK
o Intersection of Sunshine Coast St. and 169th Ave. (Park at corner.)
• 8:00 PM – DEPART FOR ROSHAK PARK
o Park adjacent to the park along southbound River Terrace Blvd at crest of the hill
• 8:30 PM – (If time allows) DEPART FOR THE CROSSINGS, 150th Ave. and Woodhue Street
o (Park along Peace Ave. south of Woodhue St.)

LOCATION: Various sites in Tigard; no deliberations took place.
Project Planner Gary Pagenstecher lead the Planning Commission on a “Drive, Walk and
Talk” field trip of completed and upcoming River Terrace projects, including River Terrace
West, future site of the River Terrace Town Center Community Park, Roshak R idge, and “The
Crossing.” Gary, along with Infrastructure Manager, Rick Gruen, and Associate Planner Jenny
McGinnis answered questions during the tour. Landscape Architect Kristina Koltavary
answered questions regarding landscaping choices and design.
