A RESOLUTION TO NAME THE COMMUNITY TABLE AT UNIVERSAL PLAZA AS THE JASON
SNIDER COMMUNITY TABLE
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to name city park property and key features as described in the
City of Tigard Naming and Recognition Policy approved by Council via Resolution No. 13-36 on September 3,
2013 ;and
WHEREAS, the City is opening up Universal Plaza as a public space in downtown Tigard;and
WHEREAS,Mayor Jason Snider was instrumental in bringing forward his vision for Universal Plaza to serve as
a community gathering place; and
WHEREAS,one of the key features being installed at Universal Plaza is the community table;and
WHERAS, it is the desire of City Council to recognize Mayor Snider's dedication and commitment to making
Universal Plaza a reality by naming the community table as the Mayor Jason Snider Community Table
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The community table at Universal Plaza shall be formally named and dedicated as the Mayor
Jason Snider Community Table.
SECTION 2: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
