TPOA MOA - Legal Defense Fund Payment Authority Tigard Police Officers' Association 13125 SW Hall Blvd ,a* Tigard, OR 97223095 r.. i low 06) 8-9 AStiQ Memorandum of Agreement By and between City of Tigard (City) and Tigard Police Officers'Association (TPOA) Re: PORAC Legal Defense Fund Plan II Coverage Extended to Sworn Non-Represented Police Officers Upon signature of this MOA the City and the TPOA agree that TPOA will add and extend PORAC Legal Defense Fund Plan II coverage to include Tigard Police Sergeants, Lieutenants and Commanders to the PORAC Legal Defense Fund Plan II coverage, currently provided by the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC to TPOA). The current cost of PORAC Legal Defense Fund Plan II coverage is five dollars($5.00) per person per month. PORAC bills TPOA quarterly(four times a year) for coverage. If the cost of PORAC Legal Defense Plan II increases TPOA shall notify the City and the City shall pay the actual increased PORAC Legal Defense Plan II cost per person per month. When TPOA receives a PORAC billing invoice from PORAC,TPOA agrees to pay the entire bill and then submit an invoice to the City for reimbursement of the portion of the PORAC payment made by TPOA for the Tigard Police Sergeants, Lieutenants and Commanders, who are non-TPOA represented employees. Upon receipt of the invoice from TPOA, the City agrees to reimburse TPOA the cost of PORAC payment made for the non-represented employees. Reimbursement will be made by the City within fifteen business days of receipt of the TPOA invoice and reimbursement will be made by check or electronic funds transfer This MOA is in effect retroactively from July 1, 2022, and will remain in effect until either party gives at least ninety(90) days written notice to end this MOA.
