TIGARD CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION NO. 22-3/
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELLEN SEMINARA, JAMES ESSENBERG, CARROL DIZNEY,
KEN BARKER AS VOTING MEMBERS, AND GARY JELENIK AS ALTERNATE MEMBER OF
THE TIGARD PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS,there are four vacancies for voting members on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board;and
WHERAS,there is one vacancy for alternate members on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board;and
WHEREAS, Ellen Seminara,James Essenberg,Carrol Dizney and Ken Barker applied for appointments,
and agreed to serve as voting members;and
WHEREAS,Gary Jelinek applied for,and agreed to serve as an alternate member;and
WHEREAS, the Mayor's Appointment Advisory Committee recommends that Council appoint Ellen
Seminara and James Essenberg as voting members with terms that will expire December 31,2026;and
WHEREAS, the Mayor's Appointment Advisory Committee recommends that Council appoint Carrol
Dizney as a voting member with a term that will expire December 31,2024;and
WHEREAS, the Mayor's Appointment Advisory Committee recommends that Council appoint Ken
Barker as a voting member with a term that will expire December 31,2023;and
WHEREAS, the Mayor's Appointment Advisory Committee recommends that Council appoint Gary Jelinek
as an alternate member with a term that will expire December 31,2025;and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: Ellen Seminara and James Essenberg are appointed to the Parks and Recreation
Advisory Committee as voting members to full terms that will expire December 31,2026.
SECTION 2: Carrol Dizney is appointed to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee as a voting
member to fill a term that will expire December 31,2024.
SECTION 3 Ken Barker is appointed to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee as a voting
member to fill a term that will expire December 31,2023.
SECTION 4: Gary Jelinek is appointed to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee as an alternate
member to fill a term that will expire December 31,2025.
SECTION 5: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
