Tigard Phone App & Online Service Request Portal Nicole came to CCE last year to discuss the online service portal and heard a desire for a one-stop shop for services and forms. Nicole asked members what they think of when they hear 311. Members mentioned calling 211, mental health/988, 911, emergency but not 911, and 811. This exercised showed most know 311 is a phone number to call, the system Tigard will have through a company called Total Tyler is called 311 but there is no phone number so we will avoid using ‘311’ as a public name. She shared various ways the city has been advertising the opportunity . Basil noted that it is dated and asked if this process modernize this? Councilor Newton said it could and noted all changes to charter must be approved by voters. Isaiah asked if there was a guarantee that diverse representation will be on the committee given its equity impacts.
