Feel/Atmosphere was great, music great. Lots of compliments from those who attended. Vendors • How do we get more creative and attract better options for vendors people are interested in • Same old health vendors seems to be a little stale-Next year maybe ask vendors to track what questions they were asked, how many visitors press more to stick with theme • Tracking what was popular • Should start networking with vendors earlier, especially if we want new vendors Other ideas • Keynote speaker, conversation, panel of speakers-overarching message to tie it all together • Or 15 min training sessions on a "stage" • Prizes-Big valuable prize paddle board, bike, draw (note some discussion of OR Ethics laws) • Is the time the best-Would lunch time be better • Offering real food like a meal • Scavenger hunt with more teeth in it • 15 min rotating sessions-basic self defense tips TO DO: Each Member get feedback from their group about timing or other thoughts. Document for next time or send to Jennifer via email. Ken &Jennifer work on a better timeline for fair preparation. Wrap up of Second Quarter: We are having some technical difficulties with hubbub,so status on challenges is unknown. We're going to see if that clears up and possibly do a "mid Month" remainder. Third Quarter:Try Something New(Meagan& Brady) July-Article planned for July. Discussed some ideas: • How trying new things makes you healthier • Links to ideas about new things to do like Travel Oregon website • Brain health August-Challenge-Idea is to do something related to "try something new" Meagan is going to try& figure out how to do that with hubbub, or we also talked about maybe somehow linking to the Wellness website and updating that with suggestions from people...tying a prize to it. Library is doing a square dancing program on Saturday 8/17. September- Healthy Aging Month-Discussed doing some sort of puzzles in the break rooms to promote brain health and Wellness. Perhaps have people tear out pages of puzzles when completed and submit for a drawing. New Business: Kathleen-New EE approached with questions about why we don't do passes to stores...Nike,etc. Discussed OR Ethics law, Kathleen followed up the Nike passes are an exclusive type thing versus the Columbia which is open to all businesses. Perhaps investigate further? Other question is discounted gym membership or incentives. What about utilizing the Fanno Cr. House or garage for a gym? Next Meeting: Thursday July 11th-Red Rock
