Wellness Committee Meeting
Sherrie's last meeting celebration!
In attendance: Doreen, Nancy, Shelly,Sandra,Sherrie,Jennifer, Kathleen
Missing: Louis, Brady
General Agenda Items:
• Firming up Q4 Plans&where assistance is needed.
o Kathleen is planning the training for October which is an online self test.The exact one
to be determined. Great interactive quiz on a couple of the medical websites.
o Sandra is planning the activity. 10 minute talk on blood pressure. Demonstration on how
to take blood pressure.Two people will go to the different city departments. "Watch for
training coming to locations throughout the city.

o Talking points for communication will be related to genetics.
o Sherrie reminded Sandra that the communication to the Exec Staff needs to go from
Sandra to Margaret,to the Exec Staff. (Jennifer notes-per Dana, each person should first
discuss with their director, but Dana will take these items to Exec Staff. More discussion
to come)
• Nancy shared a document for September communication.
• Review of our"term limits"
o Review of the list Sherrie has. Discussed how the term limits may work(changing at the
quarter, changing on the date listed, overlap with new member). Wants everyone think
about how the term limits will work going forward.Think about whether we can have a
quarter overlap for transition.
o Think about how the roles work. Do we want to switch that up? Need to talk about
logistics.
• Kathleen says that there are a lot of people in Finance who have some interest in sharing some
information about ideas.
• Plan for approach-Next two meetings.
Funding-We have an $800 wellness grant. We have $3000 in the budget for the fiscal year. Wellness fair
cost we should plan on $2000.
New Committee chair needs to apply for grants, CIS grant, CIS matching for wellness fair. CIS screening is
every other year, up to $50 per person per year.
