Ordinance No. 22-07 CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON TIGARD CITY COUNCIL ORDINANCE NO. 22-07 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 2.12 PARK AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD AND REPEALING CHAPTERS 2.36.030 LIBRARY BOARD TERMS AND 2.36.040 LIBRARY BOARD RESPONSIBILITIES AND AMENDING CHAPTER 2.36.060 LIBRARY FEES. WHEREAS,Tigard City Council desires that Board and Committee member terms transition from a June expiration date to a December expiration date to align all board term end dates; and WHEREAS, the Tigard Municipal Code references a June term end date for the Park and Recreation Advisory Board and Library Board;and WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Advisory Board and Library Board utilize their own bylaws to guide and determine terms and the City finds this provides a more consistent and flexible approach than maintaining separate chapters of municipal code for each board;and WHEREAS,the Municipal Code Library Board chapter on Fees should reflect current fees structure. NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Tigard Municipal Code Chapter 2.12 Park and Recreation Advisory Board is repealed in its entirety. SECTION 2: Tigard Municipal Code Chapters 2.36.030 Library Board Terms and 2.36.040 Library Board Responsibilities are repealed. SECTION 3: Tigard Municipal Code Chapter 2.36.060 Library Fees is amended. SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its passage by the council, signature by the mayor,and posting by the city recorder.
