2020 GOALS PRAB Goals 2020
• Participate in budget committee meetings and advocate for the needs of
parks, park maintenance, and recreation in the annual budget process.
• Make recommendations and finalize the bond measure allocation of
remaining funds.
• Engage other community and city organizations to drive park development,
park stewardship and recreation.
• Make recommendations on the use of the Lodging Tax.
• Maintain Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB) transparency and
public communications.
• Guide, support and protect citywide recreation programs that offer diverse
and innovative offerings, and remains accessible to residents
• Support the city's walkability vision.
• Participate in the update of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
• Encourage the City Administration to complete a study of the concept of an
independent Parks and Recreation Department by the end of 2020.
• Provide overside for tree code enforcement and leadership for urban
forestry.
