Reels of prestressing 2trand
Due to the fact that many of our reels of strand have been
damaged during the unloading and storage of the reels, the
following steps should be performed to prevent damage
from occuring:
1) The reels should be unloaded only in the manner
Illustrated in the diagram below.
2) A spreader bar should be used in conjunction with a
4"0 pipe placed through the center arbor hole.
3) The reels should be stored in the some position as
illustrated below. They should be placed on 4" x 4"
timbers to keep them off the ground and should be
covered with 2 layers of vlsqueen.
4) At no time should the reels be lifted or stored in their
flat position. If for any reason the reels should be
delivered on the trailers on their flat sides, they
shall be carefully rolled over Into the position
illustrated below before being lifted.
