Alternative attachment solutions include proprietary continuous insulation attachment systems,continuous Z- girts,or wood or steel furring attached back to the structure. This guide will discuss how to properly detail CERACLAD both with direct attachment and using an alternative attachment method. Method 1. Attaching CERACLAD directly through non-structural substrates `Note,Non-structural materials include any material that doesn't provide significant resistance to the combined five and dead loads of the cladding. These include, but aren't limited to-gypsum sheathing,EPS,XPS,and polyisocyanurate insulation boards.
