Report#: 309 Arrival: 1 0845 Departure: 0930 1300 1330 Weather: Partly cloudy,60s Permit#: TBD Site Visit Requested By: Rob Howser(Polygon) Met With(on site): Rob Howser(Polygon) Purpose: Observe Lot 193 and 194 Footing Subgrade Outstanding Issues: Upon arrival,I observed that the subgrade for the continuous footing at lots 193 and 194 had been compacted. Using a A"steel foundation probe,I found the subgrade under the footings for lot 193 to be stiff to very stiff and the crushed rock overlaying it to be dense.The baserock under the footing on lot was found to be loose,and the underlying subgrade was stiff to very stiff.Based on this we suggested that the contractor remove the loose material. I returned to the site later in the day to find the contractor had removed—8-12 inches of the loose crushed rock under the footings we observed on lot 194.Subsequent probing found most areas to have approximately—4"of crushed rock with the exception of the locations indicated on the attached site plan and photos which we understand will be excavated further to remove additional loose rock prior to pouring the footings. Based on our observations and discussions with Polygon,the subgrade for lots 193 and 194 are being prepared in accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
