Resolution May 25th Election r Y p i RESOLUTION RESOLVED: That the Tigard Water District, in the County of Washington, State of Oregon, call an election to be held on May 25 , 1976 , at the regular polling places as designated by Mr. Roc_;er Thomssen, Director of Records and Elections for the County of: Washington, State of Oregon, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8 : 00 p.m. for the purpose of submitting to the qualified legal voters of such District the question of issuing general obligation bonds to mature over a period not to exceed twenty (20) years , according to the provisions of ORS 259 .090 , 259 . 100 , and Chapter 287 , in the sum of $1,900 ,000 .00 for the purpose of improving the facilities of the District in order that it can adequately supply its inhabitants with water for domestic purposes in the following particulars : (1) Construction of one or more terminal storage reservoir (s) ; (2) Installation of major transmission lines , including pump stations, if necessary; (3) Acquisition of land for future reservoir sites ; and (4) . Installation of pipe replacements for old and inadequate mains. FURTHER RESOLVED : That the Tigard Water District' s bonded indebtedness as of July 1, 1975 , is $1,481 ,000 .00 ; that Mr. Donald Mason, Director of Revenue and Taxation for the County of Washing- ton, State of Oregon, has determined that the assessed valuation of the Tigard Water District on the 1975-76 tax roll is the sum of $235,960 ,371.00 ; that the ratio of assessed value to true cash value for 1975 is 100 percent; and that the true cash value of all property by law assessable for state and county purposes within the Tigard Water District upon the 1975-76 assessment is the sum of $235 ,960 ,371.00 . FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Bond Election Notice , marked Exhibit "A, " attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, and Certification of Ballot Title, marked Exhibit "B, " attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, be delivered to Mr. Roger Thomssen, Director of Records and Elec- tions for the County of Washington, State of Oregon, at least thirty-five (35) days prior to said election, and to have Mr. Thomssen publish such notice in the next available issue of the Tigard Times , a newspaper published and of general circulation in such District, and to have Mr. Thomssen publish a facsimile Page 1 - RESOLUTION r Are of the sample ballot and a list of the polling places and the hours the polls are to be open in the Tigard Times not later than the fourth (4th) day nor sooner than the fifteenth (15th) day before said election. FURTHER RESOLVED: That this resolution shall constitute the certificate as required by ORS 259 .090 (1) . FURTHER RESOLVED : That the Secretary of the Board of Com- missioners is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolu- tion to Mr. Roger Thomssen, Director of Records and Elections for the County of Washington, State of Oregon. TIGARD WATER DISTRICT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that by resolution of the Board of Commissioners of the Tigard Water District made at the regular meeting of such Board, held at the office of the Tigard Water District, 8841 S. W. Commercial, Tigard, Oregon, on Tuesday, January 13 , 1976 , a special election was called for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the Tigard Water Dis- trict the question of whether the District should be authorized to issue and sell $1,900 ,000.00 in general obligation bonds , to mature over a period not to exceed twenty (20) years, the pro- ceeds of which shall be used for: (1) Construction of one or more terminal storage reservoir (s) ; (2) Installation of major transmission lines , including pump stations , if necessary; (3) Acquisition of land for future reservoir sites ; and (4) Installation of pipe replacements for old and inadequate mains . THE DATE OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION IS TUESDAY, MAY 25 , 1976 , BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8: 00 a.m. and 8 : 00 p.m. The polling place will be held at the regular polling places as designated by Mr. Roger Thomssen, Director of Records and Elec- tions for the County of Washington, State of Oregon.
