05/11/1949 - Budget Minutes BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING May 11, 1949 Present: Messrs. Rutherford, Stearns, Lohrenz, Graham and Tigard. Moved and seconded by the Committee that Mr. Rutherford be elected Chairman of the Budget Committee. Figures were presented to the Committee indicating expenditures for the last ten months of the fiscal year, together with estimated expenditures for May and June, 1949; also a copy of budget figures for the 1948-1949 period along with fiscal year figures for 1946-1947 and 1947-1948 years. These figures were used as a basis for determining the new 1949-1950 budget, as well as determining new construction needs for the District, eta. Mr. Wheelock presented the figures to the Committee and led the discussion of the needs of the District, the Board answering any questions in con— nection with the new budget that were asked of them. After a further private discussion with Mr. 'Wheelock on the new well installation and the matter of issuing bonds to cover such a layout, the Budget was approved as per copy attached. r Chairman d4* Committee • Asst. SPECIAL BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING May 17, 1949 It was determined after the original meeting of May 11, 1949 that Mr. Curtis Tigard was no longer living within the District and that it was therefore necessary to secure another member of the Budget Committee to fill this vacan*.
