Minutes of August 8, 2005 meeting

1. Meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M.
2. Minutes from June meeting approved.
3. City updates
a. Cook Park enhancement project.
b. Stream Restoration and Enhancement- Derry Dell and Hiteon
Creeks.
c. Fanno Creek Trail.
4. Board members requested to meet with City Council on September 27,
2005 to present their proposed changes to Tigard's Development Code,
specifically 18.745 and 18.790. Staff will explore possibilities.
5. Heritage Tree Program update- City Attorney has reviewed the program's
guidelines, and offered minor changes. The financial aspects of the
program are currently being reviewed by City staff.
6. Board members agreed to begin a new project focusing on getting more
trees planted in large parking lots in Tigard, beginning with Costco in the
Tigard Triangle. The idea came from a recent article in USA Today. See

7. Members agreed to request an amendment to the board's resolution for
five citizens to serve on the Tree Board rather than just four.
