BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

1. Call to Order
Commissioner Beverly Froude, Budget Committee Officer, called the budget committee
meeting to order at 6:34 p.m.
2. Roll Call and Introductions
3. Appointment of Budget Committee Members
Commissioner George Rhine motioned for the appointment of the Budget Committee
Members,Commissioner Janet Zeider seconded the motion,and the vote to accept the
appointment was unanimously.
4. Budget Message and Proposed Budget
Michele Wareing distributed the budget message for the Tigard Water District. The budget is
up 5.6% from the last fiscal year and revenues are expected to increase 7%,which relates to the
approved water rate increase scheduled to begin in October 2006.
Possible management consultant costs were included in the budget.Training fees were also
included if board members want to attend the annual special districts conference. Ms.Wareing
summarized each of the line items of the budget.
5. 2006/2007 Fiscal Year Budget Discussion
Discussion included:
• Attorney fees
• Management consultant fees
• Recreation of by laws
