PUBLIC BUDGET MEETING

Mr. Longfellow, Budget Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M.
The MINUTES of April 14, 1970 were adopted as wr! tten. Motion made by
Mr. Cowell and seconded by Mr. Sorum. Motion carried.
Mr. Cowell read and eYpinined the Budget Mce,3nge. (Dr. Johnson absent)
Discussion on "Summary Assessment and Tax Roll"
Discussion on General Fund Resources:
It was suggested that the #430 account be offset in the Personal Services
to indicate the amount of Tigard Water District labor involved In install-
ation of lines for Developers. It was agreed that cost accounting might be
time consuming for the amount of money involved.
Discussion on #549 Equipment - need for a new back-hoe.
Discussion on Bonded Debt Requirments:
It was agreed that the interest of $14,945.62 be subtracted, leaving a
balance of $110,081.25.
It was agreed that the tax rate should not exceed .24. It was suggested
that the Reserve Fund be eliminated.
Discussion on possible lower figure for #55! Line Extensions.
