RESOLUTION TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE LAND FOR FUTURE RESERVOIR SITE.
Whereas the district has the opportunity to purchase 1.9227 acres (83,752 square feet) of
land which is located on SW 150th in the southwest corner of that tract known as tax lot 1000,
Washington County assessors map 2S 18; said land being at the proper elevation and location
for construction of a 2.5 million gallon reservoir in accordance with the engineering study of
Bull Mountain (1986).
Whereas the district's attorney has recommended that an option to purchase be executed with the
owner until June 30, 1990; the option being preferable to outright purchase in order to give
the District time to conduct such soil tests, borings, and other tests as necessary to determine
suitability of the site as a reservoir location.
Whereas $500.00 is a reasonable amount to pay for such option, with the understanding that
the $500.00 amount would be applied toward the purchase price of $ 65,000 if the deal is
consumated.
Therefore be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of Tigard Water District that:
The Tigard Water district agrees to an option to purchase the above described
1,9227 acres for $65,000.00, the cost to the District for the option to be $500.00. The cost
of the option is to be applied in full toward the pruchase price, provided the District exercises
the option by June 30, 1990 and including any sharing of legal fees.
