Hi Lina,
Yes this is a retroactive tree permit. I wasn't sure if there was a separate application for that,this is the first time I've
had to do one. All the trees we cut down were all dead alder trees, and all of them were leaning and withing striking
distance to the homes that ran parallel to these trees. I'm not sure where how I got my information wrong, but I didn't
believe they needed a permit. The 3 trees that are standing we did not remove because they didn't fit the criteria of
being dead AND leaning towards the home. However some of the homeowners complained to the HOA about these 3
trees, which are the ones still standing. They are dead but are leaning away from the homes, which is why we left
them.

I'm reviewing your tree removal permit for the Pebble Creek HOA property(behind 11801 SW Wilton Ave). I had a
couple questions:
• From the photos it looks like some of the trees are already down. Can you provide some background info on
what happened? Is this a retroactive permit for those trees?
• For the remaining trees that are still up, can you provide more details or an explanation why you're proposing to
remove them?
I'm also copying our Code Enforcement Officer Ken Ross on this e-mail, since I believe he's been working on this case.
