TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
January 14, 1987 — Minutes
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Joe Schweitz, Richard Walker, Erick Peterson, John Etzul, Nancy Newcomb,
and Councilman John Schwartz
OTHERS PRESENT:
Randy Wooley, City Engineer; Gordon Martin, NPO #4
Meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM at Tigard City Hall .
1 . APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM NOVEMBER, 1087.
Minutes were approved as read.
2. ELECTION OF CHAIR AND SECRETARY FOR 1988.
* Joe Schweitz was nominated for Chair, and unanimously approved by the
Committee.
* No permanent secretary was nominated.
3 . REPORT ON TRANSPORTATION FACILITIES PLAN.
Gordon Martin talked on views of NPO #4 to broaden scope of study of
Tigard Triangle by 0DOT.
Randy commented on possibilities to broader study. His comment was
to get involved in the public meeting on February 0 at City Hall .
Randy reported that comments were, received from the 0P0' u about a
lint of project needs in their particular NPO. Comments were received
from City Center Plan Task Force, some NP0' o and several oitizeno .
Committee wishes to include "Improvements to Walnut/Grant
intersection" in priority lint of projects .
4. PROPOSED CIP REVISIONS.
Randy recommended that the Tiu6eman Avenue project be deleted from the
current CIP budget due to the current conditions, and allow its funding to
become available to next projects on priority list. The projects include
North Dakota shoulder and Ash Avenue at Creumer Drive. It was moved and
seconded for the Committee to go with Randy' s recommendation. Motiun
passed unanimously,
5. REPORTS ON OTHER MEETINGS BY COMMITTEE MEMBERS.
Joe reported on Tigard`y Budget Workshop held on January 5, 1988 .
Joe also attended "FOCUS", a meeting of Beaverton'u Transportation issues .
6. OTHER BUSINESS.
* Council meeting February 8 tentatively at 6:30 to meet with
Transportation Advisory Committee. Wish all members to attend.

McDonald Street Bikeway Grant.

Public Meeting at City of Tigard February 0, 1988
* 0DOT 6—year Plan Update meeting in March.
7. Meeting was adjourned at 8:58 PM. Next meeting scheduled for February 18^
1988 at 7:00 P.M.
