12/14/1989 - Minutes TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES - DECEMBER 14, 1989 1. Call to order @ 7:02 p.m. 2. Roll Call Members present: Schweitz, Dusevoir, Etzel, Holland, Newcomb, and Waterman. Members absent: Riewald and Rosborough Others present: Randy Wooley, Liz Newton, and John Schwartz. 3. Liz Newton (Community Relations Coordinator) discussed Committee & Board Newsletter which will be out soon. It will be available to the public. Liz also asked for suggestions on how she can better serve this committee. Ron H: Gave his view of why City Center Development Plan was defeated, and feels City Council and staff should take a closer look at how Boards and Committees work. Joe S: Liz should get a copy of notes and/or minutes from meetings. Randy W: Newsletter will be useful to other committees to know what we're doing. Joe S: Wants to know what's going on with the Fanno Creek Conference. 4. Approved minutes for October 12, 1989, meeting. 5. Discussion of Northeast Bull Mountain Transportation Study. Final draft will be out soon and will include more information on the Murray Boulevard extension. 6. Project: Bonita Rd. - Phase I is almost complete Durham Rd. - Good attendance at neighborhood meeting. Biggest concern is speed limit. Gaarde St. - Gaarde house was sold and is being moved. Locust St. - Project near completion Greenburg Rd.- Neighborhood meeting was held December 13, 1989. Main St. - City Council request this project put on hold until further discussion of Downtown improvements. McDonald St. - Currently going through process of meeting with residents to discuss changes to property. Consultant will meet with property owners to develop revised plan. Walnut St. - Residents want sidewalk on one side of street instead of both. Grant Street intersection improvements will be done. 99W/69th - Survey work being done. 121st - Residents are aware of plans. City trying to get turn lane at Scholls Ferry Road incorporated into Scholls project. Pfaffle St. - Project is complete. 7. Other Business: Where is our liason with Planning Commission? Joe recommends Committee thank staff that worked on bond projects. Thank you Staff. 8. Meeting adjourned at 8:17 p.m. jr/min-tac
