05/10/1990 - Minutes Transportation Advisory Committee Minutes May 10, 1990 1. Meeting called to order at 7:05 p.m. 2. Members present: Schweitz, Castile, Holland, Newcomb Staff Present: Randy Wooley, and Liz Newton Special Transportation Advisory Task Force: Stephanie Cannon, Ben Worsley, Stefan Gluhr, Caryn Bales, and Thomas Kurt. Others Present: Meloney Clark, Barbara Martin 3. Reviewed minutes from April 12, 1990 meeting. 4. Review and discussion of potential CIP projects: - Summerfield Street lighting cost $60,000. - Hwy 99W at 72nd intersection improvements cost $75,000. - Major Pavement Maintenance Program: Gary Alfson requested more funds to be spent this year due to lack of funding in previous years. Recommendations from Randy Wooley: - Hwy 99W at 72nd intersection improvements. - Two warranted traffic signals committee chooses as highest priorities. - Remainder of funds to overlay project. Special Advisory Task Force has reviewed traffic signal needs. Their recommendation is for a traffic signal at Durham Road at 92nd. Caryn: Durham Road at 92nd, best choice of signal funding especially for pedestrian safety. Randy Wooley: Signal needed at Bonita Road at 72nd because of PacTrust and other growing commercial development in area. Members present recommend CIP funds be allocated as follows: - Traffic signal at Durham Road and 92nd. - Traffic signal at Bonita Road and 72nd. - Phase I of Hwy 99W and 72nd intersection. - Pavement major maintenance. 5.
