Ft. Stories: 2 w/bsmnt The plan review was performed under the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC) 2007 edition; 2007 Oregon Fire Code. This is fire restoration permit to fix a burned out apartment originally constructed in 1993. The same codes that were in effect at the time of construction will be used to reconstruct the unit. 1) All improvements made to the building shall be inspected prior to covering. 2) Make approved set of plans available for all inspections. The means of egress shall be provided with illumination of not less than 1 foot candle at the floor level anytime the building is occupied. The means of egress illumination shall be provided with a second source of power in case of primary power loss. (Sec. 1006.2) Portable fire extinguishers shall be installed in new and existing Group A, B, E, F, H, I, M, R-1, R-2, R-4, and S occupancies. (OFC Sec. 906) Approved Plans: 1 set of approved plans, bearing the City of Tigard approval stamp, shall be maintained on the jobsite. The plans shall be available to the Building Division inspectors throughout all phases of construction. (106.3.1 OSSC) Premises Identification: Approved numbers or addresses shall be provided for all new buildings in such a position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road fronting the property. Inspections: Construction or work for which a permit is required shall be subject to inspection by the building official and such construction or work shall remain accessible and exposed for inspection purposes until approved. Approval as a result of an inspection shall not be construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of this code or of other laws or ordinances of the jurisdiction. Inspections presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of this code or of other laws or ordinances of the jurisdiction shall not be valid. OSSC 109.1 Approval Required: Work shall not be done beyond the point indicated in each successive inspection without first obtaining the approval of the building official. The building official, upon notification, shall make the requested inspections and shall either indicate the portion of the construction that is satisfactory as completed, or notify the permit holder or his or her agent wherein the same fails to comply with this code. Any portions that do not comply shall be corrected and such portion shall not be covered or concealed until authorized by the building official. Issuance of a certificate of occupancy shall not be construed as an approval of a violation of the provisions of this code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction.
