I observed that crews had placed -1-2" of crushed rock over subgrade. I observed subgrade to consist of brown silt (excavation sidewalls). Using a%"foundation probe I evaluated the relative consistency of the subgrade through crushed rock section. Resulting penetrations indicated generally stiff subgrade conditions. Based on our observations and probing it is our opinion that the subgrade observed today, in areas observed today, has been prepared in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
