Purpose: Evaluate building 11 (Lots 62-66)subgrade
Outstanding Issues: FR-146 (06/05/2019)Soft wall subgrade
Upon arrival, I observed the excavation crew had prepared lots 62 through 66 (Building 11)to the approximate
subgrade elevation. I observed a skiff of crushed concrete had been placed and compacted over a portion of the
site. Where exposed, the subgrade consisted ofee++eifht of brown silt. I used a W diameter steel foundation probe to
evaluate the consistency of the subgrade, probing through the skiff of rock where present. Resistance to
penetration indicated generally very stiff to stiff subgrade conditions. I recommended to Sam that the areas of
uncompacted crushed concrete be compacted prior to footing form placement/footing pour.
Based on observations and probing, it is our opinion that the footing subgrade for Building 11 (Lots 62 through 66)
observed today and indicated on the attached site plan is being prepared in general accordance with our
geotechnical recommendations.
