We have reviewed your blueprints for the subdivision of the space ..ithin
Washington Square and have the following requircments for construction.
1 , door No_ 5 is required to be a twenty-minute rated
fire door assembly (i .e. , lock, latch, hinges and
closing device` . The door is to be maintained self-
closing or shall be automatic closing by actuation
of a smoke detector in accordance with Section 4306 (b).
Smoke and draft-control door shall be provided with a
gasket so installed as to provide a seal where the
door meets the stop on both sides and across the top.
