The plans for the alteration of the space in Washington Square mall
formerly occupied by John Helmer to accommodate the Woman's World shop
have been examined and they are hereby approved insofar as fire safety
regulations apply.
One set of these approved plans must he maintained on the project site
throughout all phases of construction and must Pe made available to
building and fire inspectors for reference during the required con-
struction inspections.
Inspection and approval of construction by this office is required prior
to the cover of any new framing elements and again upon completion of
the project and prior to opening the shop for business.
Also prior to the opening of the shop for business, a Certificate of
Occupancy or other instrument of acceptance- must be secured from the
Washington County Building Department. ,

tial conformity with the 1970 U.B.C., Jolume I1. Corridors are not acceptable for use as supply or return air

hot water line. Shutoff valves may not be located between a water tank and relief valve.
J0. A firefighting water supply is required within 500 feet of building that is capable of producing coo qpm (minimum)
for 10 minutes for each 5,000 square feet of floor area within building up to a maximum of 500 qpm for 30 minutes
or from 5,000 to 15,000 gallons of stored or static water. (Ref: ORS 479.200)
31. Interior wet standpipes at least 2 inches in diamete. located and equipped as per Sec. 3504 are required.
