The service corridor which serves as a required exit corridor from at least this tenant 7 space, must be of construction having not less than a one-hour fire-resistive rating, if yr it serves other tenant spaces. ' Corridors which serve other than this space must he arranged so that it is possible to go in either direction from any point in the corridor to a separate exit without entering other use spaces. Dead-end corridors must not exceed 20 feet in length. Door openings into rated corridor systems must be protected by self-closing smoke and draft control door assemblies having not less than d 20-minute fire-protection rating. Poor assemblies must be provided with a gasket so installed as to provide a seal where the door meets the stop on both sides and across the top. Ducts which penetrate corridor walls and which have openings into the corridor must be provided with fire dampers. Corridors must have a width of not less than 44 inches. Draft stops shall be installed in attics, mansards, overhangs, false fronts set out from walls and similar concealed spaces of buildings so that the area between draft stops does not exceed 3,000 square feet and the greatest horizontal dimension does not exceed 60 feet. 1 Where approved automatic sprinklers are installed, the area between draft stops may be 9,000 square feet and the greatest horizontal dimension may be 100 feet.
