Full coverage I , required and ceiling-mounted sprinkler heads must not be located closer than 1 foot nor more than 7-1 /2 feet from walls, partitions and similar bulkheads. It is recommended that the sprinkler drawings be submitted to and approved by a representative of this office prior '0 proceeding with any sprinkler alteration work. In wood framed walls and partitions firestopping must be provided at the (Ailing line. This firestrpping must consist of 2-inch nominal lumber, gypsum plasterboard or some equivalent material of equal fire resistance. nenetrations made of this firestopping to accommodate wiring, plumbing, duct work and similar utility runs must he packed, following the installation of said utility runs, in a manner which will effectively maintain the integrity of the firestopping and cut off all concealed draft openings which could afford a passage for flame.
