Good afternoon Howard
If you are creating a separate suite, you will need a new address for that suite. The new address will need to
be created before you can apply for permits. Please contact Oscar Contreras at, 503-718-2687, for
information about the new address if applicable. Branden Taggart, our Senior Permit Technician, will have to
assist you with the fees associated with the plumbing permit. Attached please find the plumbing permit
application. Please complete page 2, with information about capped or newly added fixtures. Once complete,
please submit the plumbing permit application to brandent@tigard-or.gov.
Below please find the fee estimates for the building permit, based on a valuation of$65,000.00, and the
mechanical permit, based on $8,000.00. I have attached the building permit application and the mechanical
permit application for you as well.
Please add the following fees based on the number of pages for one plan set:
• Info Process/Archiving-Small $0.50 (up to 11x17)
• Info Process/Archiving- Large $2.00 (over 11x17)

Thank you for your response; would you please answer the following questions about your proposed door that faces SW
Scoffins?
1. Is the door required for ADA upgrades? Yes it is an ADA and IBC Exiting r reme :ve this door due to
the orientation of the space and distances.
2. Will this be an exit only door?Yes, exit only.
3. Are you proposing any weather protection for the exit, such as an awning? Will flash the head, but no
awning. Trying not to draw any attention to this side of the building as we want them to enter from the parking
lot.

Samuel and Oscar,
Please find attached the Address Commercial Suite Application Form. Also, see the attached cover sheet of our drawing
set, also clarifies the location of the Rite Aid Building and the suite B location proposed.
Samuel: we were also notified by a previous designer from the Rebel Fit club that we may need to apply for a Minor
Modification Application for the change of occupancy from M Retail to A3. If this is true,can you forward an application
form and we will get this back to you asap.
