Report (60) Attachment to Transmittal Letter—two pages RECEIVED March 25,2019 Fountains at Summerfield MAR 2 5 2019 Deck Refurbishment Project CITY OF TIGARD Contractor: Jon Edward Erickson CCB 162397 BUILDING DIVISION As part of the deck refurbishment project a mason was contracted to replace some chipped bricks on the columns associated with several decks. During removal of the bricks and in the course of deck repairs it was noticed that several decks had one of the following problems: • Beam was rotten • Beam was previously replaced with a beam too short to make any contact with the posts. It was only resting on the column by as little as 1.5 inches. • Posts were rotten and not visible. Repairs were made to correct existing rot and previously poor beam replacement with better than"like for like" condition. The table below indicates repairs made. These were not inspected prior to the columns being bricked up.
